You Hate Your Job

If you hate going to work every day, tapping into your inner entrepreneur might provide the job satisfaction you deserve. Sure, your job might provide the means to support yourself and family. You can also achieve this by doing what you love and working hard to grow your business. It will take time, but if you start now, you might be able to fully support yourself in a few years.

2

You Might Be Happier

Entrepreneurship has its share of headaches. You might work longer hours, enjoy fewer vacations, and deal with unhappy customers from time to time. Research however, shows that entrepreneurs are typically happier than employees. Primarily because they spend their days doing a job they love; and when you love your work, there's a sense of satisfaction.

3

You Might Earn More Money

Working long and hard does not guarantee the pay you deserve. Sometimes, being an entrepreneur and doing your own thing can result in more money. As your own boss, you essentially control your income. You can take on as many contracts or clients as you can handle, which can generate the cash you need to cover your expenses.

4

Supplement Your Income

You might like your day job but despite the satisfaction, your job may not pay enough money. Tapping into your inner entrepreneur is beneficial if you need to supplement your income. Rather than get a part-time job and work for a small wage, you can start a side business and earn extra cash to pay off debt or save up to buy a house.

5

A Job Doesn't Guarantee Security

Some people don't want to become their own boss because they feel that a job brings security. However, there is no such thing as true job security. The same way your own company can fail, the company you work for can fail. Security should not be a reason to ignore your inner entrepreneur.

Time Freedom

When you work for another company, you might be a slave to the job. You might work long hours for little pay, and your employer may not respect your personal time. As an entrepreneur, you’ll also work long hours however, you can control when your day starts and ends. There's also the flexibility to take vacations or longer lunch breaks. You call the shots — and you can't put a price on this type of freedom.

7

Challenge Yourself — in a Good Way

Being an entrepreneur has its set of challenges, but it’s also an excellent opportunity to push yourself and learn what you’re truly capable of. As an entrepreneur, you'll wear many hats. You’ll be a salesperson, a customer service rep, an accountant, a social media marketing person, etc. This is an excellent way to familiarize yourself with all aspects of running a business.

If the little voice in your head is telling you to take a leap and explore entrepreneurship, don't ignore it. It might be the move that brings true job satisfaction and the income you need.
