We all know that the best deals of the year come on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. However, just how much do you know about those discounts you've been waiting for? Marie Claire has a few tips for you that you might not have heard before:
Most of the sales this year are going to be identical to last year's sales. So if you want to do your research ahead of time, look up the deals back from 2014.

Obviously, some stores will offer better deals than other stores. "JCPenney offered the biggest percentage discounts, followed by Kohl's and Stage. The worst were warehouse stores like Sam's Club and Costco."
Some stores will bump the "original price" of items, so that the discounted price looks like a huge difference, and you think you're getting a better deal than you actually are. Don't let them trick you!
Don't buy something cheap, just because the stores claims that it's new. Sometimes, "the products aren't anything new; sometimes they just simply change the model number, or take away a feature to make it cheaper."
Some stores have started their sales before Black Friday this year. That means it might've been best for you to start your shopping beforehand.
