7 Sure Ways to Get Freebies Online ...

Teresa

A lot of people don’t realize it, but there are a ton of ways to get freebies online. Some companies offer full-sized products in exchange for a quick review, while others just want you to tweet about their company and they’ll send you freebies. Just this month, Oreo sent 20,000 free boxes of Oreos to people who tweeted with a certain hashtag. There are so many simple ways to get freebies online that are, for the most part, completely overlooked.

1. Join Survey Programs

Survey programs are one of the simplest ways to get freebies online. I recently joined one, Swagbucks, that lets you cash in points for gift cards. You get the points by completing surveys and other tasks, and a few tasks even involve getting free products sent to you! I got enough points for a $10 Amazon gift card simply by letting a popular beauty box send me a free sample. Are there any negatives in this situation? Not necessarily, although you do have to field through a lot of junk email when you’re a member of these programs.

2. Follow Corporate Social Media Accounts

It’s not the most common way to get freebies online, but it’s quickly becoming more popular. Corporate companies are starting to offer freebies to anyone who posts with a certain hashtag. It’s amazing that it’s taken this long for this to become common, because it’s a win-win for both parties. The corporate companies get free advertising and we get free products! Although they can clog up your feed, it’s definitely worth it to follow a few and see if you can snatch up the next freebie they offer!

3. Join Influenster

Influenster is a beauty product review website that sends you products to review infrequently. It can be difficult to get the free products, I’ve been a member of Influenster for six months and just received my first product to review, but when you do, it is so worth it. The beauty products are almost always full size, and all you have to do is leave a review for them!

4. Email Subscriptions

Email subscriptions aren’t my favorite way to get freebies online, simply because they take up a lot of room in your email inbox. Even so, they are so effective. You can get on email lists for so many companies that offer freebies, and they’ll send you an email to let you know when they’re offering another one! If you're all right with slightly sacrificing your email inbox to junk email, this would be the perfect option to try. If you’re not ready to clog up your inbox with these emails, you could even create a new email account to field the corporate emails notifying you of freebies!

5. Do a Bit of Digging

Sometimes all it takes is a little bit of digging. Just a few Google searches can help you find a plethora of free items. Whether you’re looking for something specific or just want to see what you can find, Google is your friend.

6. Check out Freeflys

Freeflys is one of the best websites to find freebies. They offer a wide range of freebies, from beauty products to household products, even food samples! They are samples, however, not full-sized products, which is a little bit of a downside, but not enough to keep me away!

7. Wait for Deals

Sometimes finding freebies is just a waiting game. If there’s something you want but don’t necessarily need as soon as possible, wait it out. Sign up for email subscriptions, follow their Twitter account, and search around on Freeflys. Maybe the company will offer a two-for-one code, or maybe you’ll find a sample on Freeflys! If it’s not an urgent purchase, waiting it out is one of the simplest ways to get freebies!

How do you get freebies? Have you employed any of these methods? Which do you recommend?

I use Swagbucks & I redeem $5 for Starbucks all the time.

Influenster used to send me free makeup all the time. I stopped doing it though. No real reason, but they expected you to actively participate in product promotion, not just write a review. I just didn't care enough but it is pretty cool. I thought about joining swag bucks but I wasn't sure if the rewards were worth it. Some survey sites make it super confusing. I'll have to check it out tho! Great article.

wears off kinda fast, so knowing which sites to use and getting a system down is always beneficial. I also use multiple email and country addresses. One in Canada and one in the U.S. since not everything sample is available for both countries. My favourites are Munchkin Sandwich, Hunt4Freebies, MySavings, SaveaLoonie, Canada Freebies Eh and more....

last year I googled," free samples in the mail Canada 2013" and a bunch of websites popped up. After a month it was easy to tell which sites were worth staying signed up on and which to ditch. I averaged 20 free samples per week after the first initial waiting period. Now I can spend ten-twenty minutes in the morning and the same amount each night just to make sure I havent missed anything. The thrill

This is the best money article imaginable! Thanks so much Teresa!
