Fortune has released their annual list of the Best Workplaces for Women in the USA. The business magazine teamed up with Great Place to Work to carry out a survey among thousands of working females across the country to identify those workplaces that “go above and beyond for their female employees”.

Women have seen big improvements in recent years in their positions and benefits in the workplace but progress is still slow; there’s still sexual discrimination, a salary gap and glass ceilings. We are seeing however, more women in senior and executive positions and more women being allowed more flexibility to enable management of a job and a family.

Here’s the link to see the entire list of 100 Best Workplaces for Women. fortune.com I suggest you also play around with the filters. Take a look at the companies who are dominated by a female workforce, for example, it makes interesting reading – no surprise that companies like Sephora and Build a Bear Workshop are near the top, nor that the list is dominated by healthcare organisations.

Please take a look – it’s enlightening. Maybe the company you work for is included in the top 100.
