1. Two Thumbs up on the Clothes
One of the the best deals at Costco is the clothing. The quality of clothes at Costco is great. I don’t buy tons of clothes there, but the items I have purchased have held up just as well, if not better, than my higher priced clothing.
2. Returns Are Really Amazing
This isn’t officially on the books at Costco, but I can tell you from personal experience that they are wonderful when it comes to returns. Just make sure you have the packaging of whatever it is you want to return along with your ID and membership card and 99% of the time, you can make a return or exchange with no problems….even without a receipt.
Frequently asked questions
3. Go in with a Game Plan
Have a list and do your best to stick to it. There are so many cool gadgets and a plethora of great sales to be had, so if you’re not mindful of your spending, you can easily double or triple your planned bottom line. I keep a running Costco list on my phone and simply highlight what I plan to buy before I get there. This way, I don’t have to make a new list every time I go…. which, is probably more often than I care to admit!
4. Don’t Forget about the Freezer
What good do 4 loaves of bread do if they're just going to get moldy? Same goes for cheese, veggies, meats, and so many other things you can buy in bulk. Have a plan to portion out your bulk purchases into freezer bags as soon as you get home and keep handy only what you can use before it goes bad.
