You've probably seen "Extreme Couponing" on television and it probably makes you want to find some ways to be a coupon queen.
Coupons are now a way of life for many ladies. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Who cares what society thinks anyway? Your friends are probably doing it also. Not only will you be saving money, you will be able to change your lifestyle for the better! Here are a few pointers and easy ways to be a coupon queen.
1. Church and Library Drop-off Box
Place coupon boxes in the community for people to drop-off coupons that they do not want. This is one of the easiest ways to be a coupon queen.
Ask people if they have certain coupons you would like and trade likewise for them in return.
3. Look Online
There are sites such as Coupons.com to print out only the coupons you want or need.
4. Ask Friends and Neighbors
Many people get the Sunday newspaper and do not even want the coupons. Ask politely if you can have the Sunday circulars.
5. Put an Ad in the Classifieds
Some communities have a classified newspaper where you may place free ads for free. It is illegal to sell coupons, so don't pay anything for them, other than gas or postage to obtain them.
6. Know What is on Sale
Look at store ads and coordinate coupons with items on sale. This can translate into huge savings.
7. Shop at Dollar Tree
Coordinate coupons with $1.00 items. I have found that they do not stock the shelf after it has been cleared. It may be different where you live. For example, laundry detergent is usually wiped out once a good coupon is in the Sunday circular.
Our military overseas is able to use coupons up to six months past the expiration date. Don't throw your expired coupons out. Look up Ocpnet.org to find instructions on how to mail them, what base you want to adopt, etc.
9. For Those in Need
Clip for those who could use something you have a coupon for, whether family, friends, a charity, etc. Have you ever watched the show "Extreme Couponing" where women coupon for a ton of stuff and donate it? You can do that too.
10. Keep Them Wherever You Go
Whether you have a coupon binder or an envelope, keep your coupons with you whether you go. You never know when you might find a surprise sale, might make an unexpected trip, etc.
You can be a coupon queen no matter how you look at it. Now don't you feel better? Not only can you think of yourself, but can think about your family, friends or even strangers in need. It may seem like a part-time job in itself, but think about the pay for a couple of hours worth of work. You will feel royal at the cash register!
