Taurus rules the second house, which governs financial issues. This means that Taurus is well suited to careers in the field of finance, such as banking, investments or accountants. They're not just interested in their own money, but in looking after the finances of others and helping them achieve security. They'll also be happy to work with people at all levels, not just in high finance. But they do appreciate the lifestyle that careers in finance offer!

Being a methodical type, Taurus appreciates the structured approach required in designing buildings, and because of their ability to turn ideas into reality, they can make very successful architects. Taurus also has the patience required to follow through every stage from the initial plans to construction, something that flighty Gemini would lose patience with.

Taurus can also apply their plans-to-reality talents to interior design. As well as a certain practical aspect, there's a lot of vision and artistic ability required, and Taurus loves combining these two things. They also appreciate being able to improve their clients' environment and create a home or office that the client will love.

Taurus have an appreciation for aesthetics, so being a chef can allow them to indulge the visual and sensual pleasures involved in creating and serving good food. They love using good ingredients and creating exciting new dishes to delight their diners. Taurus can also enjoy applying their talents to more specific food-related careers such as chocolatier or pastry chef.

Is there such a thing as an honest politician? Whether there is or not, it's a career that Taurus can be drawn to. They are conscious of what people want, and are determined enough to get results. Taurus could apply these skills to working on a local level as well, where they can often make a very big difference to the lives of the people they represent.

Although not possessing as much of an artistic temperament as other signs, Taureans can be drawn to careers in the arts. Music, art and dance allows them to express their creative side. However, a purely artistic career often doesn't provide the financial security that Taurus seeks, so they could be better off using their vision in design or presentation.

Taurus isn't a shy sign that prefers to remain out of sight, so they can do well in positions of management. They also appreciate the material advantages that a senior position provides. Taurus isn't afraid of the responsibility or dedication required to rise through the ranks, so they'll be more than happy to put in the long hours and go the extra mile required to get themselves noticed by the people who count.

Taurean readers, do you think that these careers would work for you? What have you done for a living before, and what did you most enjoy about those jobs? What would be your dream job?
