- I think it is wrong to discourage people from becoming soldiers. It is not for me, and it is potentially dangerous. But it is incredibly noble and brave to become a soldier, and I believe those who take that risk should be considered heroic, not foolish.

- I just downloaded HomeBudget. It's SO worth the $4.99. Its awesome because you can create groups, so my husband and I can each add to it from each of our iPhones and iPads, and they sync together! That way we both stay on budget :)

- Home bathing and nail trimming is just fine but please don't skimp on haircuts! If you have a longer haired dog that requires grooming, he/she should be brushed 15 min a day and brought to a groomer every 4-6 weeks. I am a groomer and I have seen far too many animals suffer from tight, painful matting because owners try to take shortcuts and avoid grooming. If you want to take proper care of a longer coated pooch you need a metal greyhound comb and a slicker brush (both can be bought from your local pet store at low cost). You should also learn how to line brush, as this technique offers the most thorough brushing through the coat. Be sure to remember high friction areas as well: behind the ears, elbows, armpits and around the neck where the collar sits. And never wash your dog if they have any knots! Like putting a knotted shoelace in the washer, water only makes knots tighter and more painful! If you ever have questions, contact your local groomer.

- I usually don't have time to watch popular TV-wish I did-so I'm probably not the best person to offer a comment. But, I will anyway :)
I can't speak for the shows listed, but I have to agree with the concept that popular shows hang around too long.
Five years is a long time for a TV show, the actors get older, sometimes the plots don't lend themselves to being adapted for the passing of real time.
At least with the advent of cable series, some shows were written to only last a specific period of time. So they don't have a chance to get old too fast.
One show that I have watched, and would add to the list is CSI.
The original show was so quirky and different, and the CSI guys didn't act like detectives. In my opinion, as soon as they started having the CSI guys solve the crimes, hunt down the bad guys, and then bring back David Caruso, ughhh he is sooo bad, the show stopped being entertaining. Just my four paragraphs' worth...

- My mother was one of the first women pilots for United Airlines. She's now a captain, and flys the largest plane in United's fleet. I couldn't be prouder of her, and I think this list is a bit silly. Life is all about taking risks and reaching for your dreams.
